To provide a functional marketplace for fresh produce and agricultural goods, we collect the following:

• Personal Identifiable Information: Name, email address, and phone number provided during registration.
• Location Data: We request access to your GPS location to facilitate accurate delivery mapping between customers and merchants.
• Media Files: Merchants provide access to their Camera and Gallery to upload product images and shop logos.
• Transaction Data: Details of orders placed, sub-totals, and service fees (Note: We do not store full credit card details on our servers).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Facilitate the buying and selling of farm produce and equipment.
• Calculate delivery fees based on the distance between the shop and the customer.
• Notify merchants of new orders via the provided order email.
• Improve the "Surplus Marketplace" algorithm to show relevant deals in your district.

3. Data Sharing

Your information is shared only in the following contexts:

• Between Buyer and Seller: Once an order is placed, the merchant receives the customer's name, phone number, and location to fulfill the delivery.
• Legal Requirements: If required by Ugandan law to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting our support team. Upon deletion, personal data is scrubbed from our active databases, though some transaction records may be kept for tax and auditing purposes as required by law.

5. Security of Your Data

We implement industry-standard security measures (including SSL encryption for API communication) to protect your data. However, no electronic transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

NutriGrab does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. Our services are intended for users who can legally enter into transactions.
